The Keynote Speakers:

The UsuryFree Network in co-operation with the Family Life Foundation is honoured that Peter Jon Simpson from Atwater, Minnesota will be one key note guest speaker and the other key note speaker with be John “KingofthePaupers” Turmel from Brantford, Ontario.

Over the years, many researchers have been honoured to have both Peter Jon Simpson and John “KingofthePaupers” Turmel as their pioneering mentors in the ongoing and never-ending research about our orthodox, economic system of usury-based, debt money.

At a previous celebration for UsuryFree Day & Week, these two guest speakers were referred to as “the two most dangerous men on the seminar circuit” - simply because they dare to expose the lies, deceit and deception that surrounds the topic of “money” in general and about “usury” in particular. Additionally, they both promote the usuryfree community currency movement as a key element of the shifting, economic paradigm.

Topics to be addressed will be selected from this list:

a) why celebrate UsuryFree Day & UsuryFree Week
b) comparing usury-based orthodox economics and innovative usuryfree economic alternatives
c) creating and spending our own usuryfree community currencies
d) unique strategies to evade usury and avoid taxes - such as political “tax credits”
e) the awakening being initiated by “Occupy Wall Street”
f) private member-supported organizations, clubs and networks
g) creative ways to use the tools offered to us by their system

Q&A: There will be about 20 minutes set aside for questions and answers.

What's the Cost of Admission?

Attendees are invited to pay-what-they-think-it-is-worth to be present and learn from those who are making the presentations. Cash, cheques, money orders and any usuryfree community currency gratefully accepted.

The expenses to be covered are:

a) gifts or donations for the guest speakers to help cover their travel expenses and time investment for any research, the preparation and the presentation

b) advertising and promotional materials

Obviously, the advertising costs and the travel costs of the speakers will require federal cash. Attendees are encouraged to be generous with 'gifts' or 'donations' so that this workshop model can be copied or duplicated in any community in Ontario or elsewhere.

Winged Lion Awards:

The Winged Lion Awards are in honour of the ‘Winged Lion’ - which is the historical symbol of usuryfree money. The Winged Lion Awards are presented to the winners from the nominated usuryfree creatives on behalf of the UsuryFree Network during the Annual UsuryFree Week scheduled from November 13th, until November 19th, each year. Nominations are commonly accepted from local, national and international usuryfree creatives. The deadline for submitting nominations for Winged Lion Awards is Monday, November 7th, 2011. (see address for The UsuryFree Network below)

Winged Lion Awards for 2011 will be presented by Tom J. Kennedy.

Additionally, there are plenty of articles on the interent about previous clebrations for UsuryFree Day & Week as well as an abundance of research about our orthdox system of usury-based money and the innovative usuryfree community currency movement.

Readers can find these by going to any search engine and typing “usuryfree day,” “usuryfree week,” "usuryfree community currency," "usuryfree creatives," “usuryfree network,” and “life without usury.”

Timely Quotes:

"Interest never sleeps nor sickens nor dies; it never goes to the hospital; it works on Sundays and holidays; it never takes a vacation; it never visits nor travels; it takes no pleasure; it is never laid off work nor discharged from employment; it never works on reduced hours; it never has short crops nor droughts; it never pays taxes; it buys no food; it wears no clothes; it is un-housed and without home and so has no repairs, no replacements, no shingling, plumbing, painting, or whitewashing; it has neither wife, children, father, mother, nor kinfolk to watch over and care for; it has no expense of living; it has neither weddings nor births nor deaths; it has no love, no sympathy; it is as hard and soulless as a granite cliff. Once in debt, interest is your companion every minute of the day and night; you cannot shun it or slip away from it; you cannot dismiss it; it yields neither to entreaties, demands, or orders; and whenever you get in its way or cross its course or fail to meet its demands, it crushes you."
- J. Reuben Clark’s classic statement on interest -- April, 1938

"I am now convinced that if we as a people can abolish usury from our society as our forbearers did in Europe seven hundred years ago, we will leave our children and grandchildren a circumstance where they will be able to make a society that is prosperous and just, peaceful and plentiful. If we cannot as a people banish usury from our nation, we will condemn our children and grandchildren to a world of poverty and tyranny. It will be one hell of a fight where as Salomon P. Chase said: 'The people will be arrayed on one side, and the banks on the other, in a contest such as we have never before seen in this country.' Our children's future depends upon out taking up this challenge and winning. I believe that fight must originate as the American Revolution 220 years ago, in our  churches. We may have to educate and train our churchment at first. This fight must be staged and it must be won. As General George Patton said: 'We will go forward and meet the enemy and be  victorious or let no man come back alive.'"
- Peter Jon Simpson

“The word "mort-gage" is derived from the French word "mort" meaning "death" and "gage" meaning "gamble". Bankers create the money supply when they make loans. Producers are forced to gamble by borrowing newly created Principal(P) to pay for production costs and then inflating their prices to earn back the Principal and Interest(P+I) in sales. Because total goods priced at (P+I) can never be sold when consumers only have P dollars available, a minimum amount of goods must remain unsold and a minimum number of producers must fail and suffer foreclosure. The economist Keynes likened the mort-gage death-gamble to the game of musical chairs. Just as there are insufficient chairs for all to survive the musical chairs death-gamble, so too, there is insufficient money for all to repay (P+I) and survive the mort-gage death-gamble.” - John “KingofthePaupers” Turmel

"Usury begins to end the day you begin to buy products and/or services from local entrepreneurs who will accept a portion of usuryfree community currency for any negotiated sale." - Tom J. Kennedy

Seventh Annual UsuryFree Day & Week

NOTE: All of you who visit here and read this are invited to spread this information about the Seventh Annual UsuryFree Day & Week throughout the world by 'word of mouth' and by 'word of mouse.'

Founded on May 13th, 2001, the UsuryFree Network designated November 13th, 2005, as the first annual UsuryFree Day to promote awareness about the design flaw of `usury' and how `usury' is directly and/or indirectly related to violence, war, poverty, scarcity and lack.

In addition, and perhaps more importantly, the aim of UsuryFree Day is to promote the usuryfree community currency movement in general and the usuryfree time currency movement specifically as the optimal method of trading products and/or services locally, nationally and internationally.

UsuryFree Day marked its birth in 2005, with celebrations that were a part of the Fall Festival of Community which was organized at two locations in Tamworth, Ontario.

The UsuryFree Network intends that UsuryFree Day and Week will fast become a local and global event to be celebrated every year from November 13th to 19th.

UsuryFree Day, November 13th, 2005 was celebrated as the birth of the usuryfree time currency movement which has the potential to serve us locally and globally, thereby abolishing usury and replacing it with a simple service charge while dramatically reducing banking fees – both of which can be paid with `hours and minutes' instead of `dollars and cents.'

UsuryFree Day and Week are now destined to become a powerful catalyst for economic change as we progress into this 21st Century. UsuryFree Day and Week events are organized by the UsuryFree Network in co-operation the Family Life Foundation, with other supporting hosts and participating usuryfree creatives many of whom are regularly in attendace to share in the celebration.

It is resolved that in the not-too-distant future, everyday must become a UsuryFree Day so that everyone on planet earth can experience the reality of usuryfree living. UsuryFree Day and week are designated as a day and week to remind us that we can replace usury with a simple service charge and thereby create peace, abundance and prosperity for all. Additionally, it is resolved that the concept of dividend earnings in co-operation with entrepreneurs be advocated as an alternative to those investors who are currently relying on usury earnings on bank deposits.

To appreciate the significance of what usuryfree living could become, one must be fully aware of how the design flaw of usury is directly and/or indirectly related to violence, wars, poverty, scarcity and lack in this world of the 21st Century. This requires self-imposed study and research since formal education neglects to teach the 'truth' about our orthodox system of usury-based money. There is an abundance of online resources now available for those who are ready and willing to become re-educated.

People from all over the world are invited to celebrate The Seventh Annual UsuryFree Day and Week from November 13th to 19th, 2011 to raise the awareness that all of the local currencies being traded are indeed usuryfree currencies.

Wherever you live, you are invited to make tentative plans now to celebrate The Seventh Annual UsuryFree Day and Week in your community. As you finalize these plans, please share details with your contacts and forward a copy of your plans to: usuryfree@gmail.com with “Seventh Annual UsuryFree Week” in the Subject line, for further networking to usuryfree creatives everywhere.

Let's make The Seventh Annual UsuryFree Day and Week, November 13th to 19th, 2011 a truly international event with many celebrations locally and globally.

AND special thanks to Conspiracy Culture for once again hosting this special event on UsuryFree Day to launch the Seventh Annual UsuryFree Week.

Becoming FREE of Usury Terrorists

By Tom J. Kennedy

The voice of usuryfree creatives who reject usury and their (the usurers') New World Order, so far has been sorely missing from the ongoing demonstrations about "Occupy Wall Street." Most people do not realize that the cutbacks and the ever-present shortage of funds can be directly and/or indirectly attributed to the design flaw of usury and its evil and immoral effects on debtors everywhere.

The awakening of the masses may help to shatter the silence about the lies, deceit and deception about modern money creation. Currently, we are hearing from countless middle-class Americans and Canadians like myself and my family.

The awakened ones are rejecting the erosion of freedom and the intrusion of the police state. They are sick and tired of being over-taxed while the exacting of usury and payments of rising taxes diminish their monthly earnings. They are sick and tired of usury and usurious service charges on their debit cards and credit cards - thereby creating record profits for banking corporations.

They are sick and tired of the relentless attempts by Big Brother to shore up their cash by instilling fear in merchants so that they are afraid to accept larger denomination bills ($50. And $100.) as payment for products and/or services. And they are especially sick and tired of politicians at the municipal, provincial and federal levels of government forsaking leadership - and selling out to the hidden agendas of the usury elites.

In summary, they are sick and tired of being financially enslaved, foreclosed upon, bankrupted, unemployed, destitute and dispossessed when their property is being seized. They correctly view their earnings or money as their property as well as their material possessions.

Eleven years into this 21st Century, we the usuryfree creative and the "becoming" usuryfree creative who are awakening are vowing to spend our money differently to achieve a different result. Our plans for a national network of home-based and small to medium-sized, community businesses nudges the door open to initiate "barter and trade" within our own, loyal database whereby each of us will create and spend our own usuryfree time currency.

Indeed, the time may be now, that we-the-people are prepared to break the cycle of oppression now that usuryfree creative have identified "usury" as the killer machine that keeps debtors financially enslaved to creditors for generation after generation. To fully understand the enslaving effect of the design flaw of usury, we must understand a few things. What is usury? What is its function? Who is really in control of the usury machinery? What can we do to effect change NOW?

What is usury? Usury is the correct word to define "interest" on debt - as exacted on the debtor by the creditor. Usury is never created and put into circulation simultaneously when any loan or mortgage is issued. But usury is exacted as a monthly fee, payable to the creditor by the debtor.

The function of usury is to directly legalize plunder by stealing the wealth from we-the-people - the debtors. The global banking cartel (syndicate) is really in control of the usury machinery. The creditors are rich and the debtors are poor BUT we have the potential to change that. We can make change happen by making conscious decisions to spend our money differently. Permit me to clearly explain the problem and then I will focus on the solution.

Contrary to popular belief, money for consumer loans and mortgages is not borrowed from depositors' funds. For every new personal loan, vehicle loan or mortgage (the principal) is created out of nothing by the stroke of a banker's pen because the federal government has given bankers a license to do so.

The rate of usury that is exacted on the loan is never directly created, therefore the usury rate percentage as demanded by the banker is never issued into our orthodox, economic system of debt money. Consequently, there is forever a shortage or money, and the total debt can never be re-paid. Instead, more money is always borrowed into existence and the debt grows exponentially - keeping all debtors (individuals, families, businesses, and governments) in financial bondage to creditors for generation after generation.

It is important to understand that if one (debtor) individual or business is fortunate to be able to earn sufficient money to pay back the "principal" plus the "interest" or "usury" it follows that another debtor will be short of funds and face bankruptcy or foreclosure. This is the reality of the design flaw of usury - the killer machine within our orthodox, economic system of debt money. There is simply not enough money circulating in the monetary system for the sum of all our loans to be paid back, therefore, new loans are always invited and required.

We-the-people - the debtors - are playing in a usurious game of financial chairs whereby we are all scrambling to earn sufficient debt money to pay our "usury" and "taxes" while the system teaches us to try to take advantage of each other to earn that little extra to ensure our financial survival.

We have come to accept that "selfish gratification" at the expense of others is acceptable in this vicious cycle. The shortage of funds that causes debt slavery and permeates every level of society is directly related to the evil function of "usury" - and it is everywhere.

Our current "usury-based" economic system of debt money is immoral and genocidal. it is time to change it NOW by making a conscious choice to spend our money differently - within home-based enterprises and/or with small to medium-sized businesses in our respective, local communities.

We-the-people must create our own loyal databases and encourage astute consumers to purchase our goods and services from within these loyal databases. By committing to do so, we can revive the concept of "bartering and trading" for the mutual benefit of all who choose to participate. After all, why shoild we-the-people keep using their (the bankers') money and keep paying them a fee (usury) when we can now create and spend our own money for FREE?

We can create our own personal, usuryfree time currency. It has been suggested that we value one hour of time for basic, unskilled labour at a value equivalent to $12.00(Canadian Fuunds). By covering our wholesale costs with federal cash and agreeing to accept a portion of our profit margins with a usuryfree time currency - which will be accpeted by others in our inter-connected, loyal networks - we will be empowering ourselves and re-building our respective, local communities.

We-the-people can effect the change we envision NOW by making a conscious decision to spend our money differently in 2011 and beyond. As a consumer, you are invited to make a commitment to spend a minimum $100. on monthly purchases of products from home-based enterprise(s) - either your own or from someone you know who has a home-based enterprise in the SDI (Self Directed Income) industry.

This is money that you are currently spending anyways with the giant, trans-national, retail corporations to support your lifestyle, so you will be simply making an informed choice to spend this amount of money differently. There is no additional expense to simply switch your shopping habits to shop-at-home and there are many benefits available to those who choose to become active in the SDI (Self Directed Income) industry.

Find out more about home-based enterprise(s), in general and about the SDI industry, in particular by sending an email to: tom@cyberclass.net with "home-based enterprise(s)" or "SDI industry" in the Subject line.

Greeks Turn to Barter Networks

Greeks Turn to Barter Networks - Battered by Economic Crisis ...

By Rachel Donadio

VOLOS, Greece — The first time he bought eggs, milk and jam at an outdoor market using not euros but an informal barter currency, Theodoros Mavridis, an unemployed electrician, was thrilled.

“I felt liberated, I felt free for the first time,” Mr. Mavridis said in a recent interview at a cafe in this port city in central Greece. “I instinctively reached into my pocket, but there was no need to.”

Mr. Mavridis is a co-founder of a growing network here in Volos that uses a so-called Local Alternative Unit, or TEM in Greek, to exchange goods and services — language classes, baby-sitting, computer support, home-cooked meals — and to receive discounts at some local businesses.

Part alternative currency, part barter system, part open-air market, the Volos network has grown exponentially in the past year, from 50 to 400 members. It is one of several such groups cropping up around the country, as Greeks squeezed by large wage cuts, tax increases and growing fears about whether they will continue to use the euro have looked for creative ways to cope with a radically changing economic landscape.

“Ever since the crisis there’s been a boom in such networks all over Greece,” said George Stathakis, a professor of political economy and vice chancellor of the University of Crete. In spite of the large public sector in Greece, which employs one in five workers, the country’s social services often are not up to the task of helping people in need, he added. “There are so many huge gaps that have to be filled by new kinds of networks,” he said.

Even the government is taking notice. Last week, Parliament passed a law sponsored by the Labor Ministry to encourage the creation of “alternative forms of entrepreneurship and local development,” including networks based on an exchange of goods and services. The law for the first time fills in a regulatory gray area, giving such groups nonprofit status.

Here in Volos, the group’s founders are adamant that they work in parallel to the regular economy, inspired more by a need for solidarity in rough times than a political push for Greece to leave the euro zone and return to the drachma.

“We’re not revolutionaries or tax evaders,” said Maria Houpis, a retired teacher at a technical high school and one of the group’s six co-founders. “We accept things as they are.”

Still, she added, if Greece does take a turn for the worse and eventually does stop using the euro, networks like hers are prepared to step into the breach. “In an imaginary scenario — and I stress imaginary — we would be ready for it.”

The group’s concept is simple. People sign up online and get access to a database that is kind of like a members-only Craigslist. One unit of TEM is equal in value to one euro, and it can be used to exchange good and services. Members start their accounts with zero, and they accrue credit by offering goods and services. They can borrow up to 300 TEMs, but they are expected to repay the loan within a fixed period of time.

Members also receive books of vouchers of the alternative currency itself, which look like gift certificates and are printed with a special seal that makes it difficult to counterfeit. Those vouchers can be used like checks. Several businesspeople in Volos, including a veterinarian, an optician and a seamstress, accept the alternative currency in exchange for a discount on the price in euros.

A recent glimpse of the database revealed people offering guitar and English lessons, bookkeeping services, computer technical support, discounts at hairdressers and the use of their yards for parties. There is a system of ratings so that people can describe their experiences, in order to keep transparent quality control.

(The network uses open-source software and is hosted on a Dutch server, cyclos.org, which offers low hosting fees.)

The group also holds a monthly open-air market that is like a cross between a garage sale and a farmers’ market, where Mr. Mavridis used his TEM credit to buy the milk, eggs and jam. Those goods came from local farmers who are also involved in the project.

“We’re still at the beginning,” said Mr. Mavridis, who lost his job as an electrician at a factory last year. In the coming months, the group hopes to have a borrowed office space where people without computers can join the network more easily, he said.

For Ms. Houpis, the network has a psychological dimension. “The most exciting thing you feel when you start is this sense of contribution,” she said. “You have much more than your bank account says. You have your mind and your hands.”

As she bustled around her sewing table in her small shop in downtown Volos, Angeliki Ioanniti, 63, said she gave discounts for sewing to members of the network, and she has also exchanged clothing alterations for help with her computer. “Being a small city helps, because there’s trust,” she said.

In exchange for euros and alternative currency, she also sells olive oil, olives and homemade bergamot-scented soap prepared by her daughter, who lives in the countryside outside Volos.

In her family’s optical shop, Klita Dimitriadis, 64, offers discounts to customers using alternative currency, but she said the network had not really gained momentum yet or brought in much business. “It’s helpful, but now it doesn’t work very much because everybody is discounting,” she said.

In an e-mail, the mayor of Volos, Panos Skotiniotis, said the city was following the alternative currency network with interest and was generally supportive of local development initiatives. He added that the city was looking at other ways of navigating the economic situation, including by setting aside public land for a municipal urban farm where citizens could grow produce for their own use or to sell.

After years of rampant consumerism and easy credit, such nascent initiatives speak to the new mood in Greece, where imposed austerity has caused people to come together — not only to protest en masse, but also to help one another.

Similar initiatives have been cropping up elsewhere in Greece. In Patras, in the Peloponnese, a network called Ovolos, named after an ancient Greek means of currency, was founded in 2009 and includes a local exchange currency, a barter system and a so-called time bank, in which members swap services like medical care and language classes. The group has about 100 transactions a week, and volunteers monitor for illegal services, said Nikos Bogonikolos, the president and a founding member.

Greece has long had other exchange networks, particularly among farmers. Since 1995, a group called Peliti has collected, preserved and distributed seeds from local varietals to growers free, and since 2002 it has operated as an exchange network throughout the country.

Beyond exchanges, there are newer signs of cooperation from the ground up. When bus and subway workers in Athens went on strike two weeks ago, Athenians flooded Twitter looking for carpools, using an account founded in 2009 to raise awareness of transportation issues in Athens. The outpouring made headlines, as a sign of something unthinkable before the crisis hit.

With unemployment rising above 16 percent and the economy still shrinking, many Greeks are preparing for the worst. “Things will turn very bad in the next year,” said Mr. Stathakis, the political economics professor.

Christos Papaioannou, 37, who runs the Web site for the network in Volos, said, “We’re in an uncharted area,” and hopes the group expands. “There’s going to be a lot of change. Maybe it’s the beginning of the future.” (snip) ...

Avaaz.org - Petition to support Occupy Wall Street.

FYI: Avaaz.org is sponsoring a petition to support the protesters on Wall Street.
http://www.avaaz.org/en/the_world_vs_wall_st

It says, simply:

"We stand with you in this struggle for real democracy. Together we can end the capture and corruption of our governments by corporate and wealthy elites, and hold our politicians accountable to serve the public interest. We are united - the time for change has come!"

Their email states:
------------
Dear friends,

Thousands of Americans have non-violently occupied Wall St -- an epicentre of global financial power and corruption. They are the latest ray of light in a new movement for social justice that is spreading like wildfire from Madrid to Jerusalem to 146 other cities and counting, but they need our help to succeed.

As working families pay the bill for a financial crisis caused by corrupt elites, the protesters are calling for real democracy, social justice and anti-corruption. But they are under severe pressure from authorities, and some media are dismissing them as fringe groups. If millions of us from across the world stand with them, we'll boost their resolve and show the media and leaders that the protests are part of a massive mainstream movement for change.

This year could be our century's 1968, but to succeed it must be a movement of all citizens, from every walk of life. Click to join the call for real democracy -- a giant live counter of every one of us who signs the petition will be erected in the centre of the occupation in New York, and live webcasted on the petition page:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/the_world_vs_wall_st

The worldwide wave of protest is the latest chapter in this year's story of global people power. In Egypt, people took over Tahrir Square and toppled their dictator. In India, one man's fast brought millions onto the streets and the government to its knees -- winning real action to end corruption. For months, Greek citizens relentlessly protested unfair cuts to public spending. In Spain, thousands of "indignados" defied a ban on pre-election demonstrations and mounted a protest camp in Sol square to speak out against political corruption and the government's handling of the economic crisis. And this summer across Israel, people have built "tent cities" to protest against the rising costs of housing and for social justice.

These national threads are connected by a global narrative of determination to end the collusion of corrupt elites and politicians -- who have in many countries helped cause a damaging financial crisis and now want working families to pay the bill. The mass movement that is responding can not only ensure that the burden of recession doesn't fall on the most vulnerable, it can also help right the balance of power between democracy and corruption. Click to stand with the movement:

http://www.avaaz.org/en/the_world_vs_wall_st

In every uprising, from Cairo to New York, the call for an accountable government that serves the people is clear, and our global community has backed that people power across the world wherever it has broken out. The time of politicians in the pocket of the corrupt few is ending, and in its place we are building real democracies, of, by, and for people.

With hope,
Emma, Maria Paz, Alice, Ricken, Morgan, Brianna, Shibayan and the rest of the Avaaz team

Creative Solutions for UsuryFree Living – Attention Debtors

By Leila Lemghlef

NOTE: Leila Lemghlef wrote this article after she attended the special event celebrating the Third Annual UsuryFree Day & Week in Brantford, Ontario in mid-November 2007.

Readers are invited to plan a local event to celebrate the forthcoming 'Seventh Annual UsuryFree Day & Week' from November 13th to 19th, 2011.

“Behind every great fortune there is a crime.” – Honore de Balzac

Many people are beginning to understand that usury is mathematically inrreconcilable, and they are working to turn things around in a society largely complacent towards the harmful status quo. Five events highlighted the Third Annual UsuryFree Week this year, which starts each November 13th on UsuryFree Day.

It marks the 2004 inauguration of the Tamworth Hours, a community currency established in rural Ontario to encourage local barter to fight debt. It also celebrates the launch of the “Be In Serenity” (BIS) Network, which uses paper notes called Serenity, and rebukes the Swiss-based Bank for International Settlements.

What is Usury?

Usury, by definition, is the lending of money with an interest charge for its use. Banks loan money, then charge back the principal plus interest, but they do not lend depositors’ funds. Instead, they virtually create new, interest-earning money, with each signature on the promissory note when someone makes an application for a loan or mortgage. Commercial banking institutions apply this strategy indiscriminately, to individuals, businesses, and municipal governments etc.

Money leaves circulation with the payment of the principal, and the interest is taken as profit. Usury together with the common practice called fractional- reserve banking, means that shareholders of the global banking cartel distribute more credit than they hold in reserves, begetting assets that are impossible to account for because of their bogus value. The social ecosystem suffers from a shortage of money, and the better part of our incomes support debt service, (interest or usury) because of the growth factor.

Disowning Legal Tender

In 1983, Michael Linton introduced Local Employment Trading System (LETS) software in Courtenay, British Columbia, after the onset of an economic recession. Unemployed people could gain access to consumer goods and services by creating and spending their own private currency called green dollars, together with diminishing amounts of federal cash.

Over the years, people worldwide have adopted this exchange system. With the help of the internet, like-minded traders can accomplish long-distant transactions. Tom J. Kennedy has been advocating “NoUsury” or “UsuryFree” economics since 1984, and is president of The Cyberclass Network, an online resource to help visitors become aware of “what they don’t know they don’t know.” This tool draws attention to the design flaw in our orthodox money system, and its key role fostering fear, violence, war, poverty and other major world problems.

Kennedy points out, in an innovative proposal for municipalities, that presenting local, usuryfree money into circulation connects unmet needs with unused resources. He also explains that it favours the reduction of any debts (personal loans, car loans, mortgages, lines of credit, and credit cards), by freeing up more Canadian dollars to pay off liabilities.

“LETS is an interest-evasion scheme, it’s not a tax-evasion scheme. Because if you evade tax it’s illegal, if you evade usury, it’s smart,” said Kennedy at a special, all-day event in Brantford, Ontario, held November 17th, 2007. The symposium featured four guest speakers including a keynote address by Peter Jon Simpson, of Minnesota, from the Erwin Rommel School of Law. Simpson describes community currency as a parallel universe to the monetary matrix we know across the western hemisphere, from Moscow to Los Angeles, and he commends sharia-based financial conduct for its profit-sharing approach.

“The Federal Reserve System is neither federal nor a reserve, it is magnetic impulses and devices,” he said of the U.S.A.’s central bank. “The bank business deals in the traffic of credit and debt, not money. It’s the business of death,” he continued. “What’s mine is mine, what’s yours is negotiable, sign here,” Simpson summarized.

John C. Turmel spoke at the seminar as well, bringing to the audience his knowledge from years of political crusading against banking systems. In his discussion, he shed light on current affairs, like the dominating “export-or-die” mentality. As one country exports commodities for cheaper than the price of production (by hiking prices domestically), the disease catches. Turmel likens this “ugly, wasteful” profiteering scheme to musical chairs, in which someone always gets squeezed out of the game, through foreclosure or bankruptcy for instance.

In May 2000, Turmel single-handedly got the United Nations to write a declaration known as UNILETS. It reads: “The Forum urges The United Nations Governments to make serious commitments to restructure the global financial architecture based on principles of equity, transparency, accountability, and democracy, and to balance, with participation of civil society organizations, the monetary means to favour human endeavour and ecology, such as unilets, zero-interest, alternative, time-based currency.

Today, changes are underway to restructure the financial setup, but they rely on collective lifestyle choices. Usuryfree community currencies, involving barter, are emerging.

How It Works

Members enrol in a usuryfree network (e.g. BIS Network). A central office distributes currency notes (e.g. Serenity) and a directory outlining membership, products and services. The issuer signs a promissory note with a promise to offer products and/or services to the network, with a value equivalent to the credit issued (note – this calculation can be made in hours and minutes, and the value can be measured in comparison to the amount of Canadian funds that would be deemed to be a fair payment for this job in the free market).

Municipal governments can take the opportunity to accept usuryfree community currency as partial payment for municipal fees, licenses, property taxes, etc. Similarly, business owners must agree to accept usuryfree community currency as partial payment for contracts and/or employees. This exchange is possible when entrepreneurs cover any wholesale costs of doing business with federal cash, and receive a portion of the retail mark-up in usuryfree community currency.

Against the Institution: A Warning for ‘Occupy Wall Street’

by Andrew Gavin Marshall

"While I fully endorse the efforts and actions of the Occupy Wall Street protests, now emerging internationally, there are concerns which need to be addressed and kept in mind as the movement moves forward.

The process through which a potentially powerful movement may be co-opted and controlled is slight and subtle. If Occupy Wall Street hopes to strive for the 99%, it must not submit to the 1%, in any capacity.

The Occupy movement must prevent what happened to the Tea Party movement to happen to it. Whatever ideological stance you may have, the Tea Party movement started as a grass roots movement, largely a result of anti-Federal Reserve protests. They were quickly co-opted with philanthropic money and political party endorsements.

For the Occupy Movement to build up and become a true force for change, it must avoid and reject the organizational and financial ‘contributions’ of institutions: be they political parties, non-profits, or philanthropic foundations. The efforts are subtle, but effective: they seek to organize, professionalize, and institutionalize a movement, push forward the issues they desire, which render the movement useless for true liberation, as these are among the very institutions the movement should be geared against.

This is not simply about “Wall Street,” this is about POWER. Those who have power, and those who don’t. When those who have power offer a hand in your struggle, their other hand holds a dagger. Remain grassroots, remain decentralized, remain outside and away from party politics, remain away from financial dependence. Freedom is not merely in the aim, it’s in the action.

The true struggle is not left versus right, democrat versus republican, liberal versus conservative, or libertarian versus socialist. The true struggle is that of people against the institution: the State, the banks, the central banking system, the corporation, the international financial institutions, the military, the political parties, the mainstream media, philanthropic foundations, think tanks, university, education, psychiatry, the legal system, the church, et. al.

The transfer of power from one institution to another does not solve the crisis of our ‘institutional society,’ whereby a few have come to dominate so much, to concentrate so much power at the expense of everyone else having so little. True liberation will result only from opposition to ‘the institution’ as an entity. Placating power from one institution to another renders resistance ineffective. The power structures must be discredited, and power must be distributed to the people, through voluntary associations, communal groupings, and people-powered (and people-funded!) initiatives.

In order to survive as a movement, money will become a necessity. Do not turn to the non-profits and philanthropic foundations for support. The philanthropies, which fund and created the non-profits and NGOs, were themselves created to engage in ‘social engineering’: to ‘manufacture consent’ among the governed, and create consensus among the governors. The philanthropies (particularly those of Carnegie, Ford, and Rockefeller) fund social movements and protest organizations so as to steer them into directions which are safe for the elites. The philanthropies are themselves run by the elite, founded by bankers and industrialists striving to preserve their place at the top of the social structure in the midst of potentially revolutionary upheaval. As the president of the Ford Foundation once said, “Everything the foundation does is to make the world safe for capitalism.”

Money from philanthropies will organize the movement into a more professionalized entity, will direct its efforts around the promotion of legalistic reform, making slight changes to the system’s symptoms, promoting particular legislation, rallying around very specific issues removed from their global historical context. The effect is to turn anti-system revolutionaries into legalistic reformers. With such funding, movement organizers are drawn into the world of NGOs, international conferences, international institutions, aid agencies, and mainstream political participation. The leaders of the movement become professionalized and successful, both in prestige and finances. Thus, their own personal position becomes dependent upon promoting reform, not revolution; on maintaining the system (with minor changes to the aesthetic), not moving against it. The movement itself, then, would be institutionalized.

For the finances to grow without the threat of institutional dominance, the money must come from the people. A truly populist cause could be funded by the people. Keep the people in charge.

If we truly want freedom and liberation, we must begin to act free and liberated. If we want the ‘true liberation,’ we must understand the true system of power that confines, oppresses, segregates, exploits, impoverishes, and controls us. It is not a matter of the state or the banks or the corporations. It is a matter of the institution, itself. The structures of power must be struggled against so that we may come to liberate humanity from all that confines it, and experience what our true ‘human nature’ is.

If one studies mice in a maze, no matter for how long or what the maze is built of, looks like, feels like, you cannot deduce the nature of the mouse separate from that of the maze. Break down the maze and you may observe the true nature of the mouse. We have been living, always, within a maze. The walls are constructed as institutions which direct, steer, manipulate, define and segregate us from one another.

First we must tear down the barriers that bind us from ourselves, and then we may truly understand what it is to be human and free." (snip) ...

A Momentous Occasion

by Larken Rose

It was only a little over ten years ago when I thought it was so impressive and cool whenever FOUR whole anarcho-capitalists were in the same place at the same time! It would be an understatement to say that back then we voluntaryist/anarchists were few and far between. We were the fringe of the fringe, the minority of the minority of the minority. Constitutionalists were "right-wing extremists," libertarians were "fringe kooks," but we were so far outside the mainstream that there wasn't even an insult for us.

Fast forward to 2011. Suddenly, the idea of a stateless society is showing up all over the place. Now, I won't pretend this is a scientific proof of anything, but in 1996, I knew maybe six people who dared to wear the label "anarchist," and now I've probably heard from six thousand or so. Once upon a time, the most radical political discussion you'd hear almost anywhere was a debate on whether to have 10% "draconian cuts" in "government" spending. Now you don't have to look very hard to find educated, intelligent people (and that rules me out) addressing questions such as, "Do we need government at all?"

Sure, voluntarists are still a very small minority of a population. Even if we've grown exponentially, what does it matter, if we're still a fraction of one percent of the country? The reason it matters is called "momentum." As someone who used to do tree work, I know that when a hundred-foot tree goes from being straight up, to leaning a few degrees, it's time to clear the area. And the "tree" of statism, as tall and strong as it may still appear, is now leaning. A lot.

Now, I don't want to boast or gloat (well, maybe a little), but a few of us have been publicly hacking away at the roots of statism for years, even back when 99% of pro-freedom activists were saying we were crazy. (When the fringe kooks call you a fringe kook, that's really saying something.)

Then again, others have been bashing the foundations of state-worship long before any of us current rabble-rousers were even born. Poor Nock, Spooner, Bastiat, et al. They spent their lives throwing the truth at a world of people who, for the most part,
didn't listen.

I wonder what those olden-day rabble-rousers must have thought about the future of mankind. Was there any hope of humanity ever giving up the lunacy and destruction of statism? Well, I'll tell you this: If Nock, Spooner, Bastiat, et al, were alive today, you can bet they would be at Libertopia later this month.

People love to throw around terms like "historic," but I really do believe that things are happening now which, in the future, will be recognized as hugely significant, quantum leaps forward in human civilization. Heck, some day there might be a memorial at the site of Libertopia, where people come to honor the beginning of the end of the cult of "government." And I'm only half joking.

Okay, I'll stop ranting. But I strongly encourage anyone who can (and even some who can't) to find a way to be at Libertopia, in San Diego, this October 21st through the 23rd. As far as I can tell, it will be the biggest gathering of anarchists and voluntaryists ever.

That's why I'm driving several thousand miles to get there. (And thanks again to those on this e-mail list for making that possible.) To find out more, or to register, visit: http://www.libertopia.org

Awakening To The Reality Of UsuryFree Living !!

By Tom J. Kennedy

During my 25+ years as an active usuryfree creative, I am able to understand and explain the inner workings of our orthodox economic system of usury-based, debt money. It can be visualized as a compartementalized, heirarchial pyramid which is stabalized by the hidden fifth column - usury. The key purpose of the design flaw of usury is to permit greedy creditors to exploit desperate debtors - both of whom are often ignorant about the simplicity of modern money creation.

From the desperate debtors at the base of the economic pyramid, to the helpful but ill-informed staff at the various commercial banking corporations, to the greedy creditors - the global banking cartel at its apex, the orthodox system of usury-based, debt money controls the whole world. Intensive research during the latter years of the 20th Century by numerous usuryfree creatives has proven that indeed, usury is the direct and/or indirect cause of wars, violence, poverty, scarcity and lack.

After learning about the evil and immoral aspects of usury, I assumed the responsibility to teach others what they don’t know they don’t know. Describing the evils of the design flaw of usury is not sufficient; it is also important to extend the re-education process to include a variety of the optimal usuryfree alternatives.

Ghislaine Lanctot, in her recently published book titled “Madame Ghis - Escape In Prison,” points out that in any system there is a body and a soul. In our orthodox financial system, the body is the whole economic infrastructure (hardware and software) and includess: the CEO’s, management staff and branch staff of banking corporations, other financial entities or corporations as well as all levels of government corporations (municipal, provincial/state and federal).

The soul of our orthodox system of usury-based, debt money is obviously, the debtor. The debtor can be identified as any individual, family, small to medium-sized business, transnational corporation or any government corporation (municipal, provincial/state, or federal.) It is interesting to note that some of the above entities double as both debtors and creditors. Nevertheless, the debtor is always servant to the system and willingly submits to the creditor.

Consider the possibility that in the world of the 21st Century, the debtor is awakening to realize that s/he or it, holds the real power. No debtor, no modern system of usury-based, debt money!!

If the truth be known, the modern, economic system of usury-based, debt money is as broke as the debtors it is supposed to help. The whole orthodox system of usury-based, debt money is completely inverted. It is time to awaken debtors and motivate them to shift consciousness. Each debtor is encouraged to follow a self-imposed course of study about the many problems associated with our orthodox system of usury-based, debt money. These awakened debtors will create the change needed to shift the individual and collective consciousness.

Likewise, debtors must familiarize themselves with the optimal solutions as offered by active usuryfree creatives who are leading the way and blazing a trail by implementing workable and proven models of usuryfree living. Indeed, numerous usuryfree creatives are proving that we-the-people are capable of re-educating ourselves and learning how to create and spend our own usuryfree community or personal currencies.

Informed debtors now know that any debt or IOU - without usury or interest - is not a problem. Instead, it has been proven that the “growth of debt” or “interest” which ought to be correctly called “usury” is the killer machine that must be abolished forever.

The underlying cause of this Granddaddy depression of the 21st Century is that the soul (debtor) has been tricked to accept that a little “interest” is necessary but that any amount over a high percentage (e.g. 60%) is “usury.” An awakened debtor knows that money cannot have babies and that “interest” and/or “usury” is theft.

Few people know that historically, usury is absolutely forbidden by all of the Holy Books including the Christian Bible - yet few clergy will talk about this in the pulpit. Too many debtors in this 21st Century commonly view themselves as powerless and accept to be hopelessly enslaved by creditors.

The life of a debtor commonly consists of working/slaving as a little corporation to earn more and more money to pay more and more usury and taxes to the bigger government corporations - in return for minimal benefits from the system. Ill-informed debtors give away their power against the promise of wealth. Debtors pay dearly for their ignorance about the truth of money creation.

My ongoing research is convincing me that every individual living on planet earth will be living in peace, abundance and prosperity when usury is forever abolished. Think “unlimited wealth” and project this possible goal to be universally applied to the collective consciousness. After all, it is the state of consciousness and the actions of the debtor that will eventually usher in the new age of usuryfree living.

Usuryfree living was exactly the solution proposed way back in the Middle Ages. Do a search at any search engine for “Life Without Usury,” then read and re-read the article and share it with others. What they did then can be done again in this 21st Century.

The concept of usuryfree living can be adapted to suit individuals, families, small-to-medium sized businesses and giant transnational corporations as well as any level of our government corporations (municipal, provincial/state, and federal). However, in reality, none of us is freed from usury, until all of us are freed from usury.

In the meantime, what can we do? The optimal answer is to begin the process of re-education and then use viral marketing to network this newly acquired knowledge to others. Mathematicians declare that 3% is the magic number that is commonly referred to as the ‘tipping point.’ This simply means that when 3% of the population understand the concept of usuryfree living, then it will quickly become a reality experience worthy of pursuit by the other 97% of the population.

In summary, anyone who is usuryfree or who is intent on becoming usuryfree is awakening to the reality of usuryfree living.

Readers who are potential usuryfree creatives are invited to begin a self-imposed re-education journey by going to any search engine and typing any/all of these words or phrases:

usuryfree community currency movement

Challenge to Masonic Control of Canadian Justice

by Eva Sydel

NOTE: Canadian courts stonewall a case demanding judges, lawyers and government officials reveal if they are Freemasons. The case claims Freemasons conspire against non-Masons.

The judicial manipulations of Freemasonry are now under review by the Supreme Court of Canada in a precedent setting case that could result in the banishment for Freemason lawyers and judges from Canada's courts and set an international legal precedent with far reaching implications.

This unique case, that is not reported in the Canadian media, arose when I was convicted of tax evasion and served 12 months in jail as a result of a selective prosecution intended to make me, in the words of a Canada taxation officer, "the poster girl for the de-tax movement in Canada".

When released from prison, the "poster girl" learned from an observer that Provincial Court of British Columbia Judge, Paul Meyers, and Canada Revenue Agency chief enforcement officer, Richard Olney, had communicated with a system of hand signals. The observer had worked with the deaf and was a magician by profession.

I consulted with a Canadian lawyer who was not a Freemason but who was aware of their judicial manipulations. The lawyer told her to obtain an affidavit from the observer and then apply to the court to set aside her conviction on the basis that the case was fixed by Freemasons.

She should also sue the Canadian government for damages for breach of its obligations to provide her a fair and impartial hearing before an independent tribunal, a right guaranteed by Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms and by international treaties and the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Covenant on Political and Civil Rights.

ALLEGATION ISN'T DENIED

A sworn affidavit was obtained from the observer who was in the courtroom confirming that he saw the judge and the Canada Revenue Agency Chief Enforcement officer secretly communicating by hand gestures, it was filed the affidavit with the Canadian courts and applications were made to set aside the conviction and advance a claim for monetary damages. The truth of the allegation in the affidavit was never denied by the Canadian Government that was defending against the applications and the allegation continues to stand as an un-refuted legal fact in Canada's court system.

To make matters worse, the Canadian Government refused to answer questions submitted in accordance with the Rules of Court about whether or not the judge and the Canadian Revenue Agency officer were Freemasons and if they were, in fact, communicating with one another by a system of sign language as alleged. Instead, the Canadian government quickly applied to court in British Columbia to dismiss the applications.

In the lower Canadian courts, the intrepid Canadian "poster girl" asked the presiding judges to disclose if they were Freemasons and, if so, withdraw from hearing the applications of the Canadian Government because Freemasons take an Oath to protect fellow Freemasons. The whole case was about Freemasons fixing a trial which is a criminal offence in Canada carrying a penalty of up to 14 years in jail.

The judges, Mr. Justice Stephen Kelleher and Madam Justice Marion Maisonville, both of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, refused to make the disclosure requested and dismissed the applications of the Canadian citizen. In addition, court registry staff in Vancouver were caught concealing one of the dismissal judgments so that the "poster girl" would miss the appeal deadline but, fortunately, she was alerted to the judgment by an informant.

A complaint about the alleged fraudulent conduct of the court registry staff was filed with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Robert Bauman, the Canadian Judicial Council, Canada's Justice Minister, Rob Nicholson, and the Deputy Attorney General for British Columbia, David Loukedelis.

Complaints were also filed with Canada's national police force, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and to Canada's intelligence service, the Canada's Security and Intelligence Service (CSIS) because it was now obvious that Freemasonry, a foreign controlled organization, had infiltrated Canada's courts.

SUSPICIOUS DEATHS

In what may have been a related co-incidence, over the next few months, a former CSIS director, Jack Hooper, a leading Freemason and former Canadian Judge, Bert Oliver, and a Canadian author, who specialized in intelligence matters, Michel Gratton, suddenly died in suspicious circumstances that suggest one or more of them were murdered.

An appeal was filed with the next level of court, the Court of Appeal for British Columbia, where the nine judges refused to disclose if they were Freemasons or associated with Freemasonry.

So far, twelve judges in British Columbia are now implicated in this Freemasonic judicial conspiracy ranging from the lowly Provincial Court Judge, Paul Meyers, to the Chief Justice of the British Columbia Court of Appeal, Lance Finch.

The persistent Canadian, determined to rectify her wrongful conviction, has now filed applications for leave to appeal with the Supreme Court of Canada, that is located in Canada's capital city of Ottawa, 3,000 miles distant from British Columbia, Canada's westernmost province, where Freemasonry is entrenched and where there has been an obvious conspiracy of higher court judges to protect the Freemason judges in the lower courts.

Immediately after the appeal was filed with the Supreme Court of Canada, Justice Ian Binnie of that court decided to take early retirement.

UNLAWFUL SOCIETIES ACT

The appeal will also raise the novel legal issue of the continuing application of the Unlawful Oaths Act and Unlawful Societies Act in Canada and their implications for Freemasonry in Canada.

These two statutes were passed by the English parliament, in 1797 and 1799, and were intended to protect English society from secret societies that were responsible for the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution and the loss of the American colonies and that were suspected to be active in England threatening the authority of the Crown.

At that time, laws adopted by the English Parliament became part of the law of Canada which was then an English colony. These statutes do not apply in the United States which achieved its independence from England in 1776 nor do they apply any longer in England due to criminal law reforms in 1968 that relieved Freemasonry from its former obligations to regularly report to the government on the business taking place in its lodges.

None of the lawyers for the Government of Canada has denied that these old statutes are part of the law of Canada. If these old statutes are upheld by Canada's highest court, Canadian Freemasons may find themselves barred from being judges or lawyers in Canada. The court will also be asked to rule on the issue of whether or not judges must disclose if they are Freemasons when asked.

FREEMASONRY AND INCOME TAX

Freemasonry and Income Taxation have a complicated history in Canada. For the first 50 years of Canada's existence it was generally accepted that Canada's Federal Government did not have the legislative power to implement an income tax, except in time of war, which was exactly what happened in 1917 when the War Measures Income Tax Act was introduced to pay for Canada's effort in World War 1.

The first peacetime Income Tax Act was passed by Canada's Parliament in 1948 under the leadership of Canadian Prime Minister, William Lyon McKenzie King, a closet Freemason who had been an employee of the Illuminatist Rockerfeller family before returning to Canada to enter politics.

There is body of legal opinion that the 1948 Income Tax Act was illegal under Canada's Constitution Act of 1867 so that subsequent amendments and revisions are also illegal. In documents filed in the legal proceedings, it was admitted by one of the government lawyers that the Income Tax Act 1948 had not received royal assent as required by Canada's Constitution Act 1867. This particular issue, the absence of royal assent, has never been adjudicated upon before in Canada.

Interested readers can learn more by visiting the web site set out to support the litigation http://www.revenuecanada666.com which stresses that it is not anti-masonry site but does oppose Freemasons who use their skills and special arts to manipulate the justice system.

AFFILIATION OF SPECIFIC JUDGES SOUGHT

We are also appealing for information about the probable membership of the judges and the former Canada Revenue Agency Enforcement Officer in Freemasonry and ask that readers contact us at revenuecanada666@gmail.com if they have any information that confirms if former Canada Revenue Agency Chief enforcement Officer, Richard Olney, or any of the following judges in British Columbia are Freemasons or associated with Freemasonry.

Others on the list are Provincial Court Judge Paul Meyers, Supreme Court of British Columbia Justices Stephen Kelleher or Marian Maisonville and British Columbia Court of Appeal Justices, Lance Finch, Katherine Neilson, Risa Levine, Chris Hinkson, David Tysoe, Stan Low, Elizabeth Bennett, John Hall, or Pamela Kirkpatrick.

The Supreme Court of Canada is expected to rule in the next few months on whether or not the application for leave to appeal will be granted. (snip) ...

The Second Money System

By Rod Morin

The greatest enemy humanity has ever faced is now very close to winning the war for total control over the planet. They have reached this pinnacle of power through various means but the most powerful of which is certainly the money system.

Through control of the money system, The Powers That Be (PTB) have captured the minds and energy of the entire human race. I have to hand it them... they have been exceedingly devious and successful.

From my point of view, solutions to the current problems threatening the earth and all of humanity seem to be band-aid solutions and none of them that I am aware of, speak to the underlying cause of the problem. So I thought it wise to learn from the masters of manipulation and from where I sit, the answer lies in the problem.

If the money system is the problem, then the money system is the solution. The PTB would not have chosen the money system as their weapon of total control if it had not been the absolute best device to control humanity and therefore the earth. My solution therefore uses the same device (the monetary system) but the outcome will be 180 degrees from theirs.

In this essay I will outline the BASICS of the system in hopes that a conversation can be started. I do not claim to have all the answers. In fact, I know I should just present the idea and if the concept has merit, much brighter minds than mine will add to it until a truly workable solution is ready to present to all of humanity.

The Basics

Any new system must meet the following criteria: Simplistic and transparent Easy to understand, adopt and use Encourage creativity and productivity. Be intrinsically fair to all who use it Help humanity rather than enslave it. Any new system must be designed to prevent: Greed and Control

The Unit

It is my view that we do need a medium of exchange. It is also my view that basing this medium of exchange on a tangible such as gold is as dangerous as the fiat system. Instead, I suggest we base the monetary unit on a consistent and universally understood intangible - Productive Time (which essentially equals human energy). I propose the monetary unit be designated as a “second” (as in 60 seconds equal one minute). For every second of time a man is engaged in productive work he earns one second monetarily.

Monetary Seconds are exchanged for a man’s time. A second spent working is a second earned. Every man’s time is of equal value. We must abandon the concept that a speculator can “earn” millions sitting at a computer betting on which way the market will bounce while people who do outstanding work such as teaching our children or caring for the elderly receive a tiny fraction of the speculators win-fall for their time and effort. This paradigm shift accomplishes many things, not the least of which will be an end to unemployment and sweat shop production. This will be explained later.

The New Working Paradigm – Passionate Production

One of the great changes the Second system will introduce is the ability for everyone to do what they are either good at or simply love to do.

If you like accounting then you will go to work for a corporation helping to determine pricing. If you wish to be a policeman then you may fill that requirement. If you don’t know what you specifically wish to do, then you just find some position that will help the community in general until you do find out exactly what it is that you are passionate about.

Corporate profit (aka - greed) will be eliminated from the new paradigm (discussed in the Corporate World section) thus anyone can go and work for any corporation they choose. The corporation will welcome the help bringing their product or service to market as they no longer need to compete with others and trim production costs to maximize profit.

No one ever worries about changing jobs due to pay structure as everyone is compensated by the second and one may work where ever they choose.

People get to try various occupations without the fear of quitting a job and being without income. This allows true productive freedom and creates an atmosphere of curiosity, creativity and expansion. Gone are the days of trudging off to work at a job you hate because you have to pay the bills. Everyone can now try being a plumber or teacher or truck driver because as long as you are working you are earning seconds.

The question of merit pay invariably pops up about now. What of the man who can outperform the other man? Since he is no longer rewarded for his productivity he will only do the minimum of what is required of him. This argument is certainly true when thought of from a communist perspective. The difference with the Second system is that the man has freely chosen his occupation. If someone loves to do a certain thing, no matter if it is farming or lumber-jacking he will do a good days work. This cannot be said of the man who is forced to do that which he has no passion for.

Compensation is maximized by the time one puts into being productive. If one truly loves their work and puts in 20 hours per day they will earn the equivalent seconds. This structure leads to a maximum amount of seconds that can be earned in any given year. Understanding this, no man will rise above the rest to the extent that we see today. Today Banksters print or digitize and then hoard currency at will. They then use those ill-gotten gains to subjugate the rest of humanity. In the Second system every man will earn exactly what he puts into the system.

No man will be forced to work in any environment that is unsafe or detrimental to their health or well being in any way. If a corporation cannot create a safe, healthy and rewarding environment for its required workforce, it will simply not have a workforce.

So where is the incentive to work hard if everyone makes basically the same wage? Ah that is a question born out of the old paradigm, where more is better. The old paradigm is based on the fear of deficiency or lack. I would wager that as soon as one year into the new paradigm that the fear of lack will be replaced with passionate abundance. Just think of the personal energy shift within yourself if you could wake up and go do whatever it is that you absolutely love to do, all day, everyday! Now multiply that joyous energy by seven billion. I truly feel that if a man’s basic need for food and shelter are met and his personal life is truly fulfilling then the harmful ideologies of the old paradigm will never resurface.

Employment vs Contribution

The word employ or employment will cease to be a mainstay of our vocabulary. To employ means to “make use of”. In the current system an employee is simply a tool that is utilized to make a profit for the corporation.

To change this paradigm we need to embrace the shift with a new ideology that is referenced through the spoken word. I suggest we use a word like contribution.

In the Second system anyone may choose to contribute their time and energy in any way they choose. If their contribution is tracked through a corporate mechanism then they will be rewarded with monetary seconds. So if one wishes to be a writer/journalist then they will go and write for a tabloid or newspaper of their choosing. The corporation will welcome their contribution to its product and reward the contribution with the appropriate quantity of seconds.

Now one should be analyzing this scenario from a critical perspective. What if the writer sucks? Why would any newspaper take on a contributor who writes about things that do not fit with its current readership? The scenario would probably play out as follows. The writer will never get his work published and realize that he should try another avenue of publication or perhaps even another occupation, after all, everyone wants to be successful in what they do.

In the above scenario the corporation does not have “profit” as it’s main ideology so allowing various contributors to participate in creating the corporate product will only add to its pool of talent. The seconds dispersed to the contributor is a of little concern because even in the worst case scenario where the corporation runs at a loss for the fiscal year, the “Corporate pot” will zero out the account as long as the product or service is actively supported by the community.

The greater question comes when thinking about the jobs that are essential to the community but few if any really want to do. This topic will require some debate but a quick answer would be that people are required to volunteer for one week a year in which they are randomly assigned the essential tasks.

The Corporate World

Corporations have been bastardized beyond belief. The original purpose of a corporation was to provide a product or service to enhance the life of the people. This basic concept is what must return to. Profit cannot be the end goal of our endeavours if we wish to thrive as a species. Profit as an ideology necessitates manipulation, greed and control.

Corporations should be chartered based on necessity or public acceptance through a process overseen by the PSA (see below).

The mandate of any corporation is to provide a product or service that will enhance the lives of the people. All productive time is tracked through a corporation.

Prices & Profit

Prices for everything will be set through a mathematical calculation that will be based on the required efforts to bring that product or service to market and into the hands of the people (much like it is today). The difference is that any profits accumulated get transferred at year-end into a corporate pot that is overseen by the PSA (explained later).
If a corporation has a successful product or service and is running at a deficit at year-end then the prices should be adjusted and the corporate pot makes good on the corporations debts. The goal of every corporation is to provide its product or service at “cost” and every corporation’s account is zero’d out at the end of every fiscal year.

Chartering a Corporation

Anyone can apply for a chartered corporation. This is where creativity is enhanced. If a man has an idea to build a free energy device, he starts a corporation and seeks the required help to manifest that idea, product or service. The funding for the enterprise comes from the corporate pot. Yearly reviews will determine whether or not a start up corporation will continue to receive funding if it is running at a loss. Running at a loss proves one of four things: 1 – price for product or service was set to low 2 – lack of interest in the product or service 3 – mismanagement of corporation 4 – lack of production support from workers (maybe no one wants to work there). If a corporation is not supported by the people through the purchase of it’s product or service or by democratic agreement then the charter is revoked and the corporation dissolved.

Banking

I suggest we use the current infrastructure of the banks to manage the Second system. Everyone gets an account (maybe based on their SSN or Sin #) into which seconds will be deposited or withdrawn. The current move toward digitization of the currency is happening for a reason, I just want that reality to be turned into a useful positive rather than a mechanism for control.

Banks would simply be mandated to create and maintain the hardware and software required to complete the function of exchanging seconds as efficiently as possible. Banking is free to all users.

Peoples Servants Administration (PSA)

When a paradigm shifts, new concepts must be named or labelled in order for people to integrate the new idea. We must rid ourselves of the concept of Government. Government by definition means the control of the mind. Instead I propose the concept of an administration where people work to support the many requirements of the general populace.

The two main mandates of the PSA are: Protection of the people, Service the people.

The will of the people is voiced through true democratic means, such as on-line voting specific to topic. If a man wants to start a corporation to build birdhouses then he must gather the support of the people in order to receive a charter to start the corporation. If the PSA determines the need to widen a road then the PSA itself must petition the people for their support.

The PSA will oversee all things corporate and will be the acting administrative arm that manifests the will of the people. Some of the administrative functions will include: Courts for dispute resolution (corporate and individual).

Societal protection – policing, firefighters, health care Implementation of Societal mandates such as administering new and existing infrastructure.

All positions within the PSA are voluntarily filled by anyone who desires to serve the people. There are no elected officials or authorities of any kind. The concept of power and control cannot be given a crack to work itself into, as we all know how that always ends up.

Implementation

I have maintained for the last few years that we are approaching an economic fork in the road. Very soon we will have to make a choice as the world ponzi scheme economy disintegrates before our eyes. We will then be enticed by the same con artists responsible for the meltdown, who will say “We know where it all went wrong and now we know how to fix everything!” These are the same guys who have been raping you, me and the earth for at least the past century. Align yourself with these guys at your own peril.

Or, we could choose the road less travelled, the path unknown. If we wish to shake off the shackles of oppression that have bound us for so long in the invisible prison of debt we must chose the new path. We must do it differently this time around.

Of course it would be best if we could all agree on the Second system and implement it using a well planned and integrated strategy, but history tells us, that people for the most part will not change until they absolutely have to. So I fully expect that the people will not be proactive in this most challenging of times and will instead, wait for the economic devastation to pull the world they currently know, completely apart. So be it.

To implement the Second system all we really need is a marketing strategy to get everyone thinking about it. If enough people are made aware of a truly fair and workable system that can be implemented in a matter of weeks, then we stand a good chance of success.

I would suggest an immediate switch over to the second monetary unit as soon as the accounts can be set up. Making use of user account set up technologies via the web would expedite the process. Everyone who currently has a job producing something tangible is to continue at their current place of work doing what they do. This will minimize supply chain interruption. Then at a chosen date (say a few months out) people born on a specific year (ex.1947) can change their occupation. Then the next month the next year up (1948) can make the change. We continue on this cycle until everyone is free to roam the occupational workplace looking for the work that best fulfills them.

Start up prices for products can remain the “same”. The difference would be that $1 dollar which equals 100 cents would be now termed 100 seconds. A pair of shoes that today costs $45.00 dollars would now be purchased for 4500 seconds.

I base this logic on the following: 60 seconds x 60 minutes x 7 hours = 25,200 seconds which would equate to anyone who puts in a 7 hour workday earning in today’s purchasing environment - $252 dollars, extrapolated out that roughly equals an average salary to be $63,504.00 per year. Since everyone that wishes to participate and be a contributor to the community will earn approximately the same amount, there should be an immediate end to poverty.

Manufacturing and the Supply of Consumer Goods

This is by far the hardest part of the immediate equation. Not many people will choose to work in a factory producing washing machines or shoes regardless of how much working conditions improve. The solution here lies in automation.

Necessity is the mother of invention. There will always be those who are passionate about invention and who have the desire to share their creations with the rest of humanity. It will be these engineers that will have to solve the potential problem of lack of “people power” required for tedious factory type work.

On the positive side, if the above scenario does come to fruition, the result will be the minimization of “stuff”. If there is a lack of factory labour then factories that can produce will be working to fulfill real needs rather than “crazy straws” or “spray on hair.”

Inflation

If the system is continuously being expanded with seconds then inflation would surely be something to monitor. This potential problem will be much more easily managed by the PSA on a monthly basis compared to inflation management today. Gone are the days where “money” and credit are pulled out of the Bernake’s hat to be dealt out to the “to big to fail” banks. Instead every second created is due to someone’s effort and it should be fairly easy to anticipate the amount of seconds in the system at any one time.

Other Thoughts

The Law

All statutes are to be abolished. Statutes are the child of control and compulsion. Instead we absolutely must return to Natural Law and the Law of One. When the phrase ignorance of the Law is no excuse is used today most people are confounded because they realize they cannot know let alone understand the hundreds of thousands of statutes on the books these days. Little do they know that statutes are not Law. Statutes are legislative rules of a society given the force of Law. We must revert back to Natural Law and the Law of One where we can legitimately punish those who refuse to obey the one Law which is DO NO HARM. That’s it. One Law. Everyone can understand this one concept and it will be easy to determine whether anyone breached the one Law.

Compensation for any breach of the one Law will be between the parties. This means that if I am found guilty of an offence that has harmed you, any compensation awarded will go directly to the harmed party. If on the other hand, a man falsely accuses another man then he must compensate the falsely accused party. This system is self policing, efficient and after a short time I could see the court system becoming a very quiet place indeed.

Education

Is and also has been the responsibility of the parent. It has only been in the last century where Government has sought to gain access to the young malleable minds in order to indoctrinate them at as early an age as possible. Parents need to re-insert themselves as the true guardian of their children’s minds. Having said that, with the huge variety of human knowledge available their will be plenty of opportunity for the young to study with many and varied members of the community thus allowing them true access to actual and useful knowledge. One on one mentoring or small group sharing of specific knowledge will quickly show itself as a superior method of knowledge transference compared to the useless memorization and regurgitation paradigm we see used in the “edumacation” system forced on the child today.

Health Care

Profit has “no business” being associated to healthcare. If someone is ill they should be taken care of, period. The idea that a man cannot be treated for an illness because he cannot afford it shows just how far down the ladder of humanity we have slid. There has always been people who feel compelled to heal others and there always will be. The Second system will allow anyone with the healing touch to first learn this truly exceptional calling as well as practice its methods for the betterment of all.
Medical research will expand quickly and with the profit system disposed of, cures for some of our perceived incurables such as cancer will surely be quickly brought into the light for all to see.

Energy

There is no energy crisis. There has never been an energy crisis, ever. The crisis burned into the minds of the people have always been crafted out of greed and control using the most successful of all tools, fear.

The combination of solar, wind, tide, hydrogen, magnetics plus many other esoteric possibilities will easily provide more energy than we could ever use. The current fear of economic and societal backlash that keeps the Governments of the world from adopting any of these energy-harnessing methodologies (in any truly useful amount) will fall away when the Second system is adopted. The pollution/petroleum paradigm will die as quickly as it can be replaced with new, abundant and clean sources of energy.

Questions not yet answered

There are many questions that I cannot answer. I do not have the expertise to do so. What I am attempting to do with this essay is to start a conversation, so that minds much brighter than mine can massage this concept and make it into a truly workable system.

Peace to all,
